Group Personal Accident Insurance

Coverage & Exclusion (For Reference Only)

Insured: The Baseball Association of Hong Kong, China Limited

Business: Baseball Team

Period of Insurance: 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025

Underwriter: Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.

Cover
All activities that organized by the Insured in Hong Kong, mainly including but not limited to baseball activities association, provision of both physical and online training, practice and competition sessions in Hong Kong.  

Cover shall commence when the insured Persons leave their place of residence directly to the appointed meeting place, or 2 hours before the appointed meeting time for the purpose of participating in the insured Event, whichever is later; and cease when the insured Persons arrive at their place of residence, or 2 hours after the end of the insured Event or when the insured Persons disperse from the group, whichever is earlier.

Insured Event/Designated Activities
Baseball training, practice and competition; subject to be no hazardous &/or activities exceeding 3 meters at height &/or stunt &/or wiring &/or water activities &/or handling of fire or explosive or machine or electricity &/or horse riding.

Eligible Person (Insured Person)
Persons who participate the "Insured Event" which is organized/supervised by the insured.

Benefits
i. Accidental Death & Permanent Total Disablement (long scale)
ii. Accident Medical Expenses (including Chinese Bonesetter and Acupuncturist)
iii. 2nd & 3rd Degree Burns

Limit of Compensation (Sum insured per insured person)
i. HK$200,000
ii. HK$20,000 (sub-limit of HK$200 per visit per day and HK$2,000 in aggregate during the Period of Insurance for necessary and reasonable treatment by Chinese physician)
iii. HK$100,000

Excess 
HK$1,000 for each & every claim in respect of each and every claims for Accidental Medical Expenses

Age Limit: 4 – 80


Terms, Conditions & Exclusion:
  1. All claims must be verified by the Insured
  2. The Insured reserves the right to check the record book of the Insured / Policyholder if in case loss occurs.
  3. Full Terrorism Cover
  4. Insured Persons must comply with the guideline and safety measures set by the Venue / Event Organizer(s).
  5. For Non-Hong Kong Resident: Payment for Death benefit or other Indemnity for a covered loss under this Policy shall made payable to the Policyholder, who undertakes to reimburse full amount of Indemnity to the Insured Person or in case of Death claim, to the “legal estate” of the Insured Person. The Insurer shall fully discharge all liability of this claim under the Policy.
  6. Professional Sports means any sports for which the insured Persons receive fee, allowance, sponsorship or monetary reward as a result of their participation, which in totality accounts for more than 15% of their annual income from all sources.
  7. This Policy shall not apply to any event which is consequent on:
  • Dangerous Activities (including but not limited to private aviation, hot air ballooning; rock climbing, mountaineering, caving, spelunking; scuba diving; sky diving/parachuting; hang gliding; auto racing, motorsports; yacht racing; skiing; extreme sports, etc)
  • stunt or aerial work or wiring activities;
  • murder or assault;
  • the influence of alcohol or narcotics;
  • the Insured Person’s participation in any brawl;
  • riot and civil commotion;
  • firework and handling of explosives.
