New Era Hong Kong Baseball Team Flag Presentation cum Baseball Fun Day
New Era Hong Kong Baseball Team Flag Presentation cum Baseball Fun Day was successfully held at Sai Tso Wan Baseball Field on Sunday, 19 July. This event not only include the flag presentation, but also gives opportunities for our local journalist to taste the fun of playing baseball.
It is our pleasure to have New Era, the sponsor of MLB baseball cap, sponsoring baseball caps to our four Hong Kong Teams, including Hong Kong 15U Baseball Team recently finished PONY Asia-Pacific Zone (Pony Division) Championship in Fukuoka, Japan, Hong Kong Women Youth Team heading to Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan for the National Women Baseball Youth Championship, Hong Kong Institute of Education Baseball Team heading to Dalian, China for the China Universities Baseball Tournament, the Hong Kong 18U Baseball Team participating the Maple Leaf Baseball Tournament in Tai Tung, Taiwan respectively, all in this summer.
New Era had invited over 50 journalists from local newspapers and magazines to join the baseball fun day. Various game booths with prizes, display of MLB professional baseball teams’ cap, demo games by Hong Kong teams were involved in the Fun Day session. Our coaches and players also showed to the journalists and friends how to hit, throw and catch the ball and allowed them to play in the modified game.
Our sincere thank to New Era for their sponsorship and to the journalists for coming in the slightly rainy day. The event was a great success and the effort and participation from the Hong Kong team players, coaches, volunteers as well as staff of HKBA are highly appreciated.
