Deputy Sports Manager

Job brief
1. Report to the Board of Directors and direct supervisor;
2. Managing any assigned responsibilities of the Association, including but not limited to assisting the Senior Sports Manager to perform HR management, supporting high-performance athletes, organizing major local international events, and supervising staff;
3. Preparing annual activity plan and regular reports, liaising with relevant government departments, local and overseas organizations for business development;
4. Attending regular meetings;
5. Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.


Requirements and skills
1. An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution/a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent; or a Bachelor’s Degree from Higher Education institutions in Hong Kong or equivalent;
2. Preference will be given to the candidate demonstrated history of planning successful product launches and events;
3. Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with colleagues, upper management, and participants;
4. Time management and organization skills to plan and execute both large and small projects and initiatives;
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills for coming up with ideas to increase demand for products and services;
6. Excellent language skills – read, write and speak fluent Cantonese and English; the ability to communicate in Mandarin is desirable;
7. Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Remarks
1. This post is partially subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department at the rank of Sports Executive plus top-up allowance from the Association;
2. The appointee shall be required to work on irregular hours or other locations if needed, i.e., he/she may be required to work on public holidays, outdoors or abroad.
3. Employment commencing date: 1 July 2022


Salary:
- Monthly salary：$30,785-$32,285
- Medical insurance
- 12-day annual leave after serving every period of 12 months
- Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF)
