Sports Executive

The Baseball Association of Hong Kong, China (BAHKC) has been developing baseball activities to meet the sports policy in Hong Kong, namely to promote sports in the community, support elite sports and promote Hong Kong as a centre for major international sports events. BAHKC has been a subvented National Sports Association since 1993, recruiting a Sports Executive (SE) to cope with its expansion.

Job brief
1. Report to the Board of Directors and direct supervisor;
2. Managing any assigned responsibilities of the Association, including but not limited to organizing events and supervising junior staff;
3. Preparing annual activity plans and regular reports, liaising with relevant government departments, local and overseas organizations for business development;
4. Coordinate with designers and agency partners on videography, photography productions, website development and maintenance;
5. Attending regular meetings;
6. Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.

Requirements and skills
1. An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution/a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent; or a Bachelor’s Degree from Higher Education institutions in Hong Kong or equivalent.
2. Preference will be given to the candidate with working experience in event management or marketing;
3. Time management and organization skills to plan and execute both large and small projects and initiatives;
4. Being able to speak fluent Cantonese, a good command of English would be a strong asset, and the ability to communicate in Mandarin is desirable;
5. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
6. To work proactively with any interest groups and government helping with various tasks as required.

Remarks
1. This post is subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
2. The appointee shall be required to work on irregular hours or other locations if needed, i.e., he/she may be required to work on public holidays, outdoors or abroad.
3. Immediate availability is highly preferred.
