Calling all friendly faces - we need your help making the Baseball5 World Cup the best it can be!
Are you excited about the "M" Mark event and want to be part of the action? We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us as Event Helper and Interpreter.
This is the chance to be right in the middle of all the Baseball5 World Cup excitement! You will get to interact with people from around the world, learn new skills, watch the high-level games and make some great memories.

Brief job description (inclusive, but not limited to)
Registration method
1) Helper: online registration form;
2) Interpreter: online registration form and submit a brief cover letter highlighting your language skills and relevant experience via email to chloe.mak@hkbaseball.org (subject: II WBSC Baseball5 World Cup - Interpreter Recruitment).
Your passion and support to Baseball5 are very much appreciated. If you are interested to be part of the World Cup, please submit your application on or before 18 August 2024. Remember, it will be MANDATORY for you to join the volunteer briefing session. This session will ensure that you understand the event day arrangement and your role and responsibility. Confirmation email will be sent to applicants within 7 days after the registration deadline.

- Need to stay in official hotel (twin room with other interpreter)
- Enthusiasm for sports
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese, knowledge of either one of below language confers a distinct advantage
- Putonghua
- Spanish
- Japanese
- French
Facilitate communication between teams and tournament officials
- Comprehensive support to the teams
- Assist with any on and off field matters for the teams / WBSC personnel

Ground
- Enthusiasm for sports
- Reliability
- Ability to work well in a team
- Working at least 8 hours per day
Ball boy, Game zone management
- Manage the warm-up and competition areas
- Ensure the unauthorized individuals do not enter the warm-up and competition areas

Technical support
Score board control, Support official
- Collect and scan all the document after each game (incl. game report, line-up, score card)
- Pass line up sheet to announcer

Operations
Logistics
- Provide assistance with setup and dismantling
- Ensure the seamless operation of the event
- Address any venue maintenance issues promptly
- Assist in anti-doping
