About the event : This Asia Cup is the World Cup Qualifier, top 3 teams from Asia will advance to the II Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025 in Mexico. It also part of the WBSC qualification process for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 (YOG Dakar 2026), Asia Champion and World Champion are being allocated a direct spot to the YOG Dakar 2026.

Tournament Dates: 11 - 15 March 2025 (Arrival: 9 March; Depart: 16 March)
Tournament Place: Taipei City, TPE
 
Interested participating teams: CAM, CHN, HKG, IND, JPN, KOR, MAS, MGL, PAK, PHI, SGP, THA, TPE
 
Category :  Youth Mixed; males and females
Player eligibility :
  1. Ages of 15 - 18 years old and born in the years 2007 to 2010;
  2. Must be holding a HKSAR passport;
  3. Must register as a user or a member on the BAHKC Online Registration System.
Application method :
  1. Applicant must be a valid member of the BAHKC, membership valid until 31 Mar 2025;
  2. Applicant must be a player in the 2024-25 Baseball5 Regional Squad Training Scheme; For applicants who have yet enrolled in the "2024-25 Baseball5 Regional Squad Training Scheme": please register on the BAHKC Online Registration System ;
  3. Apply "Preparation for the 2nd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup - Tryouts" on our Online Registration System  to attend the tryouts; applicable to the current Baseball5 Regional Squad athletes.
Tryouts application fee: Free of charge
Application deadline: 19 Jan 2025
Training details:  Regular training: Fridays 1900-2200

Additional local training: Jan - Mar 2025
Thursdays  1800-2100
Saturdays  1400-1700
Sundays  0900-1200

One-day trip to Zhongshan on Saturday, tentative schedule 25 Jan, 8, 22 Feb and 8 Mar 2025

Participating Fee The participation will be partially subvented by the Government-funded programme.

The selected players in the Final Team Roster are required to pay HK$1,000;

BAHKC will provide 1 set of formal dress (cap, tracksuit, winter jacket, backpack); 2 sets of game uniforms (shirt, shorts, socks); protective gears and other sports gear to be arranged by the players.

Notes:
  1. Candidates should wear sportswear for the tryout and training
  2. When Thunderstorm Warning or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal is in force, events/sessions will continue to be held as scheduled, unless otherwise announced by the Association.
  3. When the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8or above or Red Rainstorm Signal or Black Rainstorm Signal will be issued 2 hours before the events/classes start, the events/sessions will be cancelled and will be re-scheduled to a specific date according to the contingency arrangement.
