ROAD TO DAKAR 2026 SUMMER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES (YOG)
2nd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup - World Cup Qualifier 2025
Tentative Tournament Date: 11 – 15 March 2025
Tournament Place: Taipei City, TPE

Eligibility of Athletes/Players
  • Players between the ages of 15 – 18 years old and born in the years 2007 to 2010, boys and girls
  • Holding the passport of the representing country/region
  • To be selected by the respective National Federation

World Cup & Youth Olympic Games Qualifier

World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has confirmed that Youth Baseball5 has been included & will make its debut as a medal sport in the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Dakar 2026.

In this regard, the 2nd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup 2025 is a very important tournament because:
  • It is part of the WBSC qualification process to select the teams eligible to participate in the YOG Dakar 2026, with our request to WBSC to give the Asia Youth Baseball5 Champion 2025, a direct participation slot in the YOG Dakar 2026.
  • It will also qualify 3 teams from Asia eligible to participate in the WBSC World Cup 2025, which is a direct YOG Dakar 2026 qualifier. Only teams that participate in the 2nd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup 2025 are eligible to qualify and participate in the Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025.
